Silkie thread!

Yeta had the flocks babies two weeks ago. These pictures were taken yesterday. In the first pic, you can see the pure Silkie chick, the little yellow head. My Silkies may not be great quality...but I love them just the same! <3

This baby all smeeshed under Momma is a 1/3 OEG and 2/3 Silkie. She's adorable. From what I can tell thus far, she will have Silkie feathers and partridge coloring. I'm very excited to watch her grow!

My hen is being a great Mom, this is her first brood. She wanted to go broody all winter, but I wouldn't let her...I promised her I would let her have her way as soon as the weather broke.

Guys I entered 4 birds in the show I got 1st place on my partridge silkie Rooster 2ed on Partridge silkie hen And 1st place and a 4 th place on both my buff silkie hens

I have a question about the "Horns" on the comb. Is it something that is unwanted or is it normal? I thought it was normal. I saw some posts regarding them and I'm now confused on the issue.

How would a person breed them away?

Get at least one bird without them and select offspring that do not have the horns. It may take a few generations.

As I said, not a huge deal; other things (type, for example) are far more important. I'd also rate meeting variety standard as more important.
