This coop, there are a zillion coops on ebay. Just type in chicken coop. Beware of the sizes because most look like they're big and then you find out it's 30 inches tall, LOL. And due to the price, it's a good idea to reinforce them with your own hardware. Especially washers.

That's got to be a boy, right?
That's what I was thinking too, but it has absolutely NO behaviors to accompany that suspicion!

If I had to guess, I'd say pullet.
First bit of good news I've had all day :D

It's hard to imagine my little silkie turning into a cockerel. For heaven's sake, that thing is scared of everything, including leaves. The size and color of that comb has got me worried though :(

I don't find that behaviour is a good indicator with silkies. If you have more than one roo often any youngsters will be submissive until they reach maturity. Chest bumping is common in both sexes and for me it generally comes down to wattles and the shape of crest. A week ago I was convinced that this little one was a roo, going by the 'swoosh' crest but this week it's come in all nice and full , pullet for sure.
Silkies just keep you guessing.

Fancychooklady, what makes you think it could be a pullet? I have 2 five weekers with pink/red color combs, I wish I had an idea.

SJChickens, don't discount the Polis as a cockerel. By coloring, it looks like a pullet to me. This is my Laverne. Supposed to be a male.

Of course me and others could have sworn it was a male.

Love the name. She's very pretty! I'm going by the mohawky crest + very dominant, but perhaps I'll be pleasantly surprised and it'll be a pullet :3

Also, the silkie doesn't do any chest bumping. She lets the polish and the buff orpingtons duke it out xD. I guess I'll just have to kill myself waiting it out :p.

Here's a full on picture of my polish. It's crest is much more mohawky than Laverne.
