Silkie thread!

Hi everybody would a silkie be bullied by a pair of faverolles hens and how much eggs would 3 silkie pullets lay in a week and a year

As always it will depend on the individuals. But Faverolles tend to be pretty docile birds and they are not very big as far as standards go. I'd say that with proper introduction techniques they will likely get along well. Silkies on average lay 3-4 eggs per week, and about 100-150 eggs per year. They are seasonal, like most non-production birds, so don't expect many eggs in the winter; most of this production will be during the spring and summer.

I need guidance from some of you more experienced Silkie fanciers. This little bugger is a twelve week old cockerel (I've caught him crowing, or trying to) and his head is extremely puffy to the point he can't see. We've put bands in his feathers and I wet his beard a couple times a day to help. I need to trim his "hair" but I don't want to do anything that may damage his eyes as the feathers start to regrow. Your input is appreciated!

These photos are older, his fro is bigger, now.

Start by trimming below the eye, sometimes the muffs obscure more vision than the crest. You only need to trim lightly but leave the feathers closest to the eye.
Pretty boy.:)
