Silkie thread!

Some recent pictures of some of my others :)

Still not sure if this ones a pullet or cockerel, I think it's a pullet.

Some weird color that came from my "fun pen". It looks porcelain, but its not.

Frizzle Silkie.

My handsome fella! I need to think of a name for him!

Frizzled Silkie baby, about 8 weeks old.

Another 8 week old frizzled Silkie baby, I hope this ones a girl!

Lovely Lola.

It's official... I heard crowing this morning! I have to find out who it is and then decide to pen him separately or send him to a new home... :(

Also... there were two who were tussling pretty badly this morning (as I was about to leave for work) the aggressor was chomping down on the back of the other's neck and the victim was bleeding from its ear/neck, foot and comb. And it continued to find it and attack it, so I had to quickly separate them by putting one in the closed coop and the other in the fenced in area - all with food/water. So I don't know if it was merely trying to assert dominance orrrr if it's a male trying to mate?? :( Again, I had to leave for work so I had to act quickly (I didn't want to risk a dead chicken by doing nothing). :(

Beautiful fluff balls lol. I can't say for sure but I know alot of breeders who keep several roosters at a time with no problems so I don't think they always fight. So competition or like you said trying to mate.... yikes hope you figure it out..

I think it helps to if the roos are penned together from little chicks. I have 2 Cochin rood in with my Cochin hens and they get along great with each other.
