Silkie thread!

This one was that color at hatch and we are pretty certain she is a splash. Blues tend to be a solid slate color at hatch.

Hey guys does this chick look blue or splash? Thanks. :)

All my splash hatch out white or yellow and the blues vary from very light to very dark...

She is a splash.. Just still fledging in. Poor thing is only 5 months old. The stripping through her feathers gives her away. Our blue hen tricked us. She looked dark enough to be black but her underfluff said she is blue.

That's our faker. She won Reserve Feather Legged at my daughter's last show.

my daughter's showmanship bird. A definite blue but not the best quality ( sweet temperment though).

I think I'm going to get this little one, it will be 6 weeks old, for Stella, she is 8 weeks old, in Florida next week. It is listed as a Splash or a Lavender Silkie. Which do y'all think it is? Thanks for any input in advance.

I still can't believe my little Sid went missing last night

Praying he somehow safely finds his way back home.

Male or female?
Do male silkies crow just as loudly as any other chicken? I'm hoping their not male because if they are and they start crowing loudly our neighbors might start complaining about the noise :(
