What are streamers?

See those feathers coming off the back of the crest? They're called streamers, and they're male specific.

Thank you. I wasn't certain because his head seems overly fluffy for a boy. I'm torn on keeping him or selling him.

They are the longer ' ribbons ' at the back of the head ( crest ) .

I've decided to keep him, sell the rest of my silkies, and learn about breeding. Would you say he is a good beginner bird to start breeding? I've read the SOP, and a couple threads on here, but it is overwhelming. Haha.

He is still young , but he has nice ' type ' check that he has 5 toes and what is his foot feathering like ?
