She's beautiful!

I think I may have a buff hen, but I'm not actually sure. I got her out of the bantam bin at Tractor Supply and have never been sure of her color. She has some black in her feathers, so not sure if she is a buff with some leakage or something different! Anyways she is a really sweet little girl!

I'd say she's buff, maybe she has some black silkie mixed in? Either way she's beautiful!

I don't know if I agree with feeding yogurt to chickens. They are not mammals and therefore not designed to digest such.

Chickens go nuts for cheese, yogurt, sour cream, cooked beef -- all from cattle. Not only that, they dig in cow poop too. There are probiotics for chickens if you don't want to use Greek yogurt. I don't feed it as a steady diet but it doesn't hurt as a treat. Everything in moderation.

I use shredded cheese as a very rare treat. They will try and swallow my hand for it. But it is a really good motivator for them to learn tricks. Bread is also a very rare treat that they fight over. Some of them don't care as much for the bread but they all come running at the sight of cheese.

The little brats recognize what they are getting by the container I have it in. Though both are metal, the scratch and feed scoops are different sizes. They start yelling when they see the scratch scoop. If I have a plate they try and trip me because that means I have dinner leftovers and I'm not fast enough.
