To make a gold sex-link? Red or buff male, silver-gened female. Either a grey or a bird showing silver leakage.

... well, he looks "grey" now. I don't know much about the colorings and all that. We just wanted Silkies and picked out a bunch of different colors. I like him/her just the same whether it's blue or grey..haha. Thanks for the info!

I swear there is crowing coming from my brooder. They are not yet 4 weeks old and somebody is trying to crow. It has happened twice now when I have startled them in the middle of the night and turned some lights on. Wow.
Two of the seven already have combs coming in and they are more mulberry than the others. I'm guessing that they are going to turn into roosters. No thoughts on the others and I confess that I haven't caught the crower(s) in the act. They are suspiciously silent when I get to the brooder. Brats.

I'll try to get pictures tomorrow. They have all hit that awkward Phyllis Diller phase. HA!

Here is a pic of my girl Turk at 27 weeks. *Sigh*, no eggs yet . . . Her trimmed "eyebrows" make her look like she's giving me the evil eye all the time!
