I love all these pics! I just have one black baby. I don't even know if it's a hen or a roo! Hey! I have a question: okay so my silkie lives inside but we have only had it for about a week. We got it from a breeder at around 4-5wks old. The strange thing is every time we touch (touch,as is lightly rest a finger on) it's wing, it crys (as in LOUD chirping) , not its normal soft sounds. Also, it has a few matted feathers (not the "fur" silkies have, but the feathers of ,for example; Golden Commets and Rhode Island Red)on each wing and a scar on its beak. My guess was that it was in a fight when it was younger... Any (better) ideas?! Please help!!!!

The ones I hatched had partridge down and feathered in blue with leakage.

Because it was a partridge rooster (gold based) over a splash hen (silver based), the males had silver leakage and the female has gold leakage. The boys were very pretty. The brown showing through on the hen doesn't always show up well in pictures.

I've hatched one egg from that hen on accident. Father was a partridge. Ended up being a decent little blue partridge pullet. She takes better pictures than my partridge girls so she's staying
