Silkie thread!

She won't get a beard, she looks to be the non bearded variety. Still a very pretty Silkie.

This is her mom and dad all my silkies are bearded from 4h award winning parent idk what happened with her It makes her see allot better tho!!

The top photo is a dark splash. As for the grey at the bottom, it will be white. White birds that carry the silver gene that makes blue, are usually silverfish in their baby down but adult feathers come in white.
Thank you so much for the helpful info that little chick with the silverfish downs feathers are coming in white, but so far I've found two feathers that are black, or at least partially black. Think that will change with a molt? If not what would that make this chick?

Could be a splash or something with leakage. Or paint but those are usually yellow with black spots on the baby fluff.
 
here is an update on my first Silkie chicks that hatched. Other than the oops chick we have 3 with the frizzle gene two have black skin but four toes if I were to breed these with smooth Cochins I could get Cochin frizzles. One chick has black skin five toes and is a satin. The only one I haven't put a picture up is the one egg that I was afraid wasn't going to make it because before it was ready to hatch the egg has been stepped on and cracked pretty bad. I think it was a day early and was pipping at the wrong end of the egg. However mama hen took very good care of the chick and now looks quite healthy.
