Silkie thread!

Partridge chicks. One on left is from a specific hen of a different line crossed in. One in middle is partridge. One on right is blue partridge. All are clearly chipmunked.

Only because it was a small hatch and I know which birds these turned out to be, it's male on left and the other two are female. Cannot sex this early.

Thank you so much for the info, it’s much appreciated! Always love learning something new. Hadn’t planned on doing partridge but this little one is so pretty she’s winning me over! The breeder said it could be a partridge or a calico? Not really very educated on either. Also got a pleasant surprise with a cute little showgirl and two black mottled frizzled silkies! Too cute! Can’t wait to see how all the chicks feather out. A couple of other chicks I’m not clear on colors either.

Out of 4 chicks that hatched 2 weeks ago I had one Satin sizzle. The rest have silkie feathering but only 4 toes. (bummer) I don't want to keep three of the 4. I live in GA anybody know anyone who would want them? I don't ship but will drive a reasonable distance to rehome them

Unable to tell male from females at this point. They are for sale $5.00 each.
The top two are frizzles with silkie feathering.

Looks like a girl to me. Do you know how old? Mine don't lay until at least 8 months and some have gone until 10.

Once I had a silkie hen that had something wrong with her ovaries. She laid a handful of eggs in two years and would join the rooster in crowing for morning treats when they saw me. So sometimes things just go wrong.
Im not 100% sure on age. But I have had her since June, so that's 4 months. And I have to assume she was a few months old when I got her. How long does it take them to get all their feathers and grow to that size? This picture was taken they day I brought her home.

View attachment 1174516 View attachment 1174518 Any guesses on colors for these chicks? The first one I thought would be a paint, but the feathers coming in are a smooth gray. This other one I thought might be a lavender but the feathers are coming in so light they might be white?View attachment 1174517View attachment 1174519

The top photo is a dark splash. As for the grey at the bottom, it will be white. White birds that carry the silver gene that makes blue, are usually silverfish in their baby down but adult feathers come in white.
