Silkie thread!

3 hens raising 11 chicks. Managed to get a bedtime picture with only getting bit twice by the partridge hen.

I have had several Black silkie chicks develop but die at hatch for.some.reason,they never make it out of the shell??? I do know that the eggs.that we're.receved in the batch where.the hen and.roo hatched they were the.only two out of.tweleve that hatched and the others died.on shell in the advanced.stages.of development. Anyone know what might cause this.Im thinking genetic problem of.some.sort.
 
Hi All!! I’m desperately seeking some silkie chicks! The more photos I see, the more I want some! I live in eastern/central Ohio but will travel anywhere in Ohio to bring them home. If you know anyone selling some chicks, please let me know. They will have a good home!!!

A better close up from the side and a close front shot of the head would help decide.

Looking at these pictures though, I think boy
Ok I will try to get a better one. He's not crowing and does that peeping like the girls do so it's got me confused on gender
