I need your imput, Silkie friends! This is no doubt a really dumb question but I have three 6 month old PQ silkies that I was pretty sure are pullets. Yesterday two of them were like playing cock fight. Do pullets ever do that?

Is it Eprinex? That's the only Ivomec formula I know of with a no, supposed, withdrawl time. I use 3 drops on my large fowl hens/pullets, and 4 on my roos/big cockerels. Twice a year. Every month seems like a tad too much to me. I would hate to see what that dosage is doing to their livers. I've used Ivomec for years on sheep, goats, pigs, and cattle, and it is some pretty potent stuff. I am still very leery of the "no withdrawl" clause on the Eprinex, and for safety's sake, hold all eating eggs for 2 weeks still. JMHO

Do you apply the drops strait to the skin or do you have to make them swallow it? I have sprayed ivermectin diluted with water but never applie it strait before. Please clarify:/

With my Marans, I put one drop on the skin on the base of the neck, and one drop on the skin under each wing. Full strength, using the pour on type. My Silkies are too young yet to be wormed.
