i think, nothing special, is beautiful. New to this thread, went back in the writings. I have an order coming next month for 2 silkie females. Have been waiting close to 6 months for this order. Can’t have Roos were I live. Just want to read everything I can about them before they get here.

This guy keeps catching my eye. He was marked to sell but I think he will stay as long as he has a good attitude, he’s not 5 months old yet but has developed very fast.

Okay. So Floof has pursed himself as the boy you all assured me he was. Not a comb or streamer to be found in his head. But he's out there crowing with another 7 week old roo and they aren't getting along. So both of them are being rehomed Tuesday.

But this leaves poof. I was really sure poof was a pullet. Tiny. Black head. Scared of EVERYTHING.

But today Poof was out there rushing into the fight between peepers and Floof....

So... Is poof a secret roo to? Our was poof just breaking up the fight??

I have an odd little pullet that will jump between any two hens or roosters fighting and peck gently at ones beak to stop it (although some fights are a bit out of her comfort zone). Reminds me of the guy who broke up a fight between two people by standing there eating chips. Some gals just don’t want the drama lol.

So apparently wood ash in the dusting area is not welcome. Every day between 3-5pm my flock rotate through everyone taking a dust bath but today I added some old wood ash from the camp fire like is recommended to prevent mites. Now they won’t go into the dust bath they sit and stare at it then look at me, like this is different why is this different. Goofy silkies.

Quick question!

When I post my Silkies quite a few people get confused on which is which and who is what etc.

I've decided to make a little kind of profile/information page for each of them.

This is the first one I've done!

Do you's think they're set out alright/like how I've done them?
