I have a ton of notes stored from comments of breeders and I found the one I was talking about but didn't record who made it. Maybe they will see this and respond. What do you think of this?

"But it has been my experience, with my stock, that the Split Lavs, that do and
will, produce the Lavender color, have chipmunk stripes when born, then molt
out to Blue or Black or Splash etc. The Split/Blues that I have, have gone on
to molt lighter as they aged. The color on them is not a true Blue, in the
normal sense, and can easily be seen when put next to a "regular" blue. "

Good morning all. I promised myself NO MORE HATCHES until after hmm... Valentines day. The winters here are kind of sucky, and I didn't want chicks in the house for the winter.
Then my friend had some hatching eggs that were a few days old, and said I could have them, or else she would have them for breakfast the next day.
I got these GAWGEEEOUS babies from her eggs in June, so guess what?....
Yep, another dozen silkie eggs in the bator. And of course there is always room, so I put some Marans pullet eggs in there just to see....
OOPS, chicken math!!! This is one I'll be showing in a few weeks. Her first bath. I have a disease....

Goal? Clean, use any shampoo. Get rid of mites/lice? Use a dog/cat flea/tick shampoo according to directions. Preferably one with an insect growth regulator. I prefer Sergeant's Gold. Get rid of stains on a white/light coloured bird? Use Tide or All with bleach alternative.
