I've been checking my silkie hen's eggs for fertility for over a month but haven't seen that obvious "target" around the "white spot". However, this egg does seem to have a bulls-eye appearance. (Or is it wishful thinking?) Is Mysty Blue's egg fertile?
Your broody won't need to go out but she will need a place to poo away from the eggs. It's a huge load!One of my little splash hens is sitting on her egg today.One thing tho, is we have an issue with doors. We have to change the coops make the doors for the Silkies to go out. I take them all out on nice days (into a covered run/pen), bring them in at night. Should I let her out some during the day? It's going to get cold soon, don't know if the egg will get too cold.
And....on another note.... CATDANCE EGGS ORDERED (my Christmas present).

I don't know where on here but someone who had Silkies said theirs was a Y type body, I am new to this Silkie stuff and just wanted clarification. It is obvious to me now that whoever said that either had other genetics at work or had no clue to what they were saying. I am always looking to further my knowledge on everything chicken(all 8 months of it now). That is why I need you experienced peeps to edumacate me.
