Silkie thread!

I just got them in today! I ordered 2 saddles, and told her I was having an issue with my current diaper, her feet kept getting caught and she was always flipping backwards. She sent me a free sample diaper of her new design to see if it worked. She is very reasonably priced and her diapers so far seem to fit way better than the ones from ebay. They are much lighter and snug, as well as cuter!

I love it!

I need a chicken with a diaper in the house like I need a bullet in my head but I think I might have to order one!

My husband would shoot me if he knew I was even considering diapering a chicken and letting it in the house...lol. He already calls me the crazy chicken lady. Not to mention my blue tick would probably want to eat them.

Yeah, I think my boyfriend might consider shooting me also... Good thing he doesn't have anything to shoot me with.

After I showed my boyfriend the saddles and diaper today he said I was turning into the crazy lady from the chicken documentary

I said at least i'm not like the lady who gave "CPR" to her chicken!

My fav girl is looking like a lumpy fluffy cloud

can you believe i trimmed her crest and beard a few weeks back? Not drastically, but enough so she could see better than she did. (She was running into stuff and pecking the air blindly

) The thing is, if she's walking around normally with her head out, she can see. But sometimes it's like she doesn't want to. She'll tuck her head back like this and shut out the world for a little while.

So I've been itching to get an incubator!

Now I know that it won't be a waste of my money and it will get plenty of use. Problem is, I have no idea what to pick. Price wise the Brinsea Octagon 20 Eco would be great. But how idiot proof is it? lol Especially when the person operating it has never used an incubator.
It says on the website that there is no facility for humidity measurement control (whatever that means). How do I measure the humidity?

The day I find myself an incubator, I'm doing a test run with our pet chicken eggs to make sure I'm doing it right before I put anything valuable in there.

BEWARE!!! I will be asking a billion questions when it's time! lol
