I think this unseasonably warm weather caused my almost 8 month old silkies to lay their first eggs!I was greeted today by not just one, but 3!!![]()
Which leads me to my next question...fertile or infertile? The roosters are 5 months old, I'm not sure if they're even able to successfully mate (they sure try) but one looks fertile! I think.

Nice eggs! Anyone that wants to be ragging on bantam eggs ought to get a look at those in your hand. Very nice.
