The standard roosters are picking his feathers out. Poor thing.

I think this unseasonably warm weather caused my almost 8 month old silkies to lay their first eggs!

I was greeted today by not just one, but 3!!


Which leads me to my next question...fertile or infertile? The roosters are 5 months old, I'm not sure if they're even able to successfully mate (they sure try) but one looks fertile! I think.

Definitely fertile! Let the fun begin!!

Thanks everyone! I'm loving my new coop! I even let the Silkies out today (in the rain), and they stayed dry and fluffy for once!

Alright. I finally got some pictures taken today. This is my little cockerel's comb with his little horns. How bad is it? lol And no, his wattles really are NOT that red. I think the picture came out a little over exposed..
