I also like your chickens on the background lol!

I finally got all the stuff (flea and tick shampoo, oatmeal shampoo, vetRX, etc...) and was planning on giving a bath to my little guy/girl who has flaky skin (maybe favus?) However, I was wondering what was vetRx for? Do I apply it only in its wattles or the all body?

You can pit it whereever you want, but put it on the waddles and legs to help his issue. If you pour a few drops down the throat it can help keep illness away. It's just essential oils, I love it! But don't warm it like the directions say, the bottle will melt

When you go to shows, put it on his waddles and legs to make them shine

I get some hot water from the tap, as hot as it gets, fill a cup and stick the VetRX in there for a little while. It warms up but doesn't melt the bottle.

Alright. I finally got some pictures taken today. This is my little cockerel's comb with his little horns. How bad is it? lol And no, his wattles really are NOT that red. I think the picture came out a little over exposed..

Words of wisdom from the breeder and I will take her word for it!!
As we all know, combs come in all different shapes and sizes and as long as it's not a single comb, it's not a big deal to worry about. Which means I won't worry about this guys horns anymore. You can breed away from these things.
And you have to keep in mind when choosing a bird for breeding that 1) NO bird is going to be perfect and 2) type must be your first and foremost consideration.
So, I feel better now about Ace's horns.

Now I just need to wait until Saturday for the Congress show. Hopefully I can find him a nice lady to add to my flock.

Ok thanks!
I have been a bad owner. I haven't giving him/her a bath yet.
I went and check him/her again and its skin was looking all dry and flaky again, so tomorrow for sure it is going to be SPA time for that little stinker lol.
