Silkie thread!

Nustock works great on scaly mites. Hoping and praying she gets better.
I keep that in mind. Right know I am leaving her alone because she went through so many chemicals, she looks pretty weak. The only thing I apply everyday is the triple antibiotic cream and on sundays I usually give her a oatmeal bath treatment... I leave her in there for at least 30 minutes and do my best to remove the dead skin (the eggs usually are in there) and wash her with a flea and tics shampoo. If there is no improvement in two or three weeks I will put some frontline.

Not trying to push but keep in mind Nustock is a great natural way to go that works well. Hope what ever you do she gets well soon. It's crazy that I don't only worry about my own chickens but everyone else's too. :)

Our Buff pullet, Teriyaki is not doing well. I think she has a blockage in her digestive tract. I gave them some ham pieces yesterday, the only new thing they have gotten. Her crop is full of liquid and squishy, so I know not impacted crop. I got some EVOO into her to hopefully get things moving. Gonna give her some more before I leave for work and put some Molasses in it too. If she makes it through the night I think she has a chance.

Sounds like sour crop. Poor girl :(
If it is, 24 hrs no food, 2 tablespoon of organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar in a plastic gallon waterer changed daily.
Day two add only plain yogurt.
Day 3 add plain scrambled egg to the yogurt.
Each day massage the crop several times each day pushing toward the back of the crop, not upward.
Day 4 maybe some soupy oatmeal added to eggs and yogurt but no grains.
Don't make throw up this can kill.
Ope she's better in the morning tho.

Thank you. I will go (again) to the feed store and get it then. I will probably use the triple antibiotic cream for a week and then switch for the Nustock. Really appreciate your help

How did Terriyaki do overnight?

anyone know if my silkie's crest might get bigger after the first molt? She comes from good lines and the other two I got look fabulous, (one died though)... I think it is weird that her crest is so small. or does that just happen sometimes even with good lines?
