Whatever they are, they're cute. I bet you'll get some greys. Great picture too! I love the colors.


I bet Toulouse is quiet because he's the only guy in the house.

He doesn't have to compete with anyone. We have 7 roosters on the farm and they go at it all day long.

My silkies and the cochin cockerel are pretty much done after their morning crows and they're quiet for the rest of the day but the LF guys...forget it! lol


I've heard my boys crow in the middle of the night too. lol Couple of times I heard them in the summer time, I went outside in the dark to check on our horses. I'm wondering if I woke the roosters up and they one or two of them felt like they needed to crow. In the winter time it happenes more often because they have a heatlamp.

yeah i'm glad he is so quiet. I have also found that he does it until I let him out then he stops. Kind of like he's just saying "Let me out, let me out, let me out" over and over... Now the car is a different story haha! He loves car rides and crows and crows

I have to wear ear plugs. I have a small hyundai accent hatchback and it echos bad! I think he thinks we are going to a show, he had a blast at the congress.

you know random thought here, but I think they should make helmets for these darn silkies... like the ones they have on bobble head football players!

Aoxa so sad and sorry for your loss. I can't imagine how hurt y'all are. My husband is Canadian, I told him and he felt just as bad. Glad you can rebuild the barn and will have you in my thoughts as you try to recover.

WOW, I am so sorry. I am glad you and your family are safe. I can't even imagine the loss.

I was gonna post pics of my DW's Silkies after their first bath today, but I will hold off til another day out of respect for those that lost so much today.

Thank you all for your kind words, and condolences. It's been the worst day of my life. Hands down. I feel like I lost a child.

This farm was my baby. I will do everything in my power to get everything back. It will take a lot of time, and a lot of effort, but with all the support - I know I can do it.

I just can't stop crying. I feel so terrible for you. You must feel you're in a nightmare that you can't wake up from. I would love to try sending you eggs when you are ready to try hatching. I know everyone on this thread is heartbroken for you. So thankful you have your family.

The 14 babies you still have are such a blessing, now they will have to carry on their parent's legacies. I am so saddened by your huge loss, but those babies will hopefully give you hope
