I don't know, I only use broody's. But Mumsy would do a practice run if she had time, she gets her Catdance eggs next week.
I'm going to test the new Genesis for a week before I set the Catdance eggs. I'll switch the test eggs over to the LG if they are percolating. I like a hands on incubator. I don't use automatic turners. Never use them any more. I also like to keep detailed notes so testing and candling test eggs before setting expensive ones makes me feel better over all.
Spent the day cleaning out the unused part of my barn today. Getting a few new breeding pens ready and organizing the storage area. It's going to be Silkie Central in a few months out in my barn!

I think I'm going to risk it. If I have a melt down you can say," I told you so" lol. I know, I hope Mumsy doesn't buy them all and make me have to wait another week for mine :) It will be like our chicks are bros and sisters tee hee

Hah! I can't afford to buy them all but I do want as many as she has available on my visit. I also have an appointment to pick out a few chicks from the grow out pens. That has me extremely excited!

Quote: Nice. I am hands off except for candling at day 10-12. But then again, I don't get to play with an incubator. My wife would KILL me with how many chicks we would have. I am already having a hard time keeping from going broke buying chicks from 2 BYC'ers close to me for my layer flock, since my broody only has 1 egg developing. But it looks like I will be getting BQ SFH(2), CCL(1-2) and maybe a bantam BLRW or 2.

Hah! My husband asked me tonight, " You do know we have a budget when we go, right?" I told him, "I'm taking more than one pet carrier if that's what your talking about." It's going to be like looking at a barn full of adorable puppies and I will want all of them but must only choose a couple. *Gah!* A delicious dilemma.
