Silkie thread!

do you all physically SEE the roosters mating the females?? I've never seen it happen ever. the roosters are 9 months old. they don't even act interested. The roosters are fighting lately though. not hurting each other or anything, just going head to head.

I'm not sure whether to continue trying to incubate the eggs or not or to just eat them. so far all the eggs over the past few weeks haven't grown at all.

I don't know if it's just my boys, but it's pretty much all I ever see them do EVER. I feel kinda bad for the poor girls. Maybe that's why they're all going broody, to escape the amorous rooster ;)

My little man is 3 months old and he gets it. He is enamoured with the 2 year old and the 3 his age but doesn't quite know how to display his affections. He is at that hair pulling put a frog down the back of your shirt 6th grade mentality. So funny to watch the older girls put him in his place. He sure tries though lol

My 5 mo Cockerel keeps trying to mate my 5 mo pullet, but she won't squat for him. She just is mature yet.
