! They are so adorable! I think I would hatch...those fuzzy butts are so delightful and you can bond with them early! Of course it is hard to hold 18... which is what I had hatch! Why not do both? Buy a few part grown and hatch a dozen or so! They are very sweet and inquisitive!

They are all just precious, but especially #2 what color do you call that ? You have me thinking now about getting bothe Hummmm.

Hi I'm a new silkie owner and I noticed a behavior I've never seen in a chicken where my Silkie when sitting on my shoulder would rub her head all over my face and neck repeatedly! Is this normal? I can't figure out if this is a bad sign because I've looked at diseases or skin problems but she's not showing signs of any... I'm a new Silkie mama so if anybody has any ideas please respond! :/

shes probably just showing affection silkies r one of thr most friendliest chockens of all

I am not sure on the color name of that one - hopefully an experienced silkie person here can tell you! I have my "list" of what she sent, but who is who.... ? I know the porcelains, lavenders, black, white, buff and partridge, but not sure on this one. I did have some splash ... All I know is it crawled into my lap for a nap today! It is the sweetest thing! Get Both!!! You won't regret it!

So, my blue hen, she wants NOTHING to do with the roosters. she's 2 years old. she runs screaming like something is trying to kill her when they try to mount her. BAH! any way to get her over that? LOL. she's my broody girl, but I never know who's eggs are whos and I only have 2 ladies.. Hmmm.

My dominant hens do that a lot, but my rooster is very persistent when he's 'in the mood'. He will chase them, at full speed, all around the yard until she gives up or he catches her. If your roosters want her badly enough, they'll catch her

Does she have red in her feathers? If so she might be what they call tortoise shell. It is grey with autosamal red, i believe. She is really pretty.
Hi All,
I have to introduce you guys to my new Silkie hen. I have no idea what color she is, but I thought she is so cute and her colors are really unique. Any thoughts on what color she is, or maybe she is a mutt. But I love her anyways :) I need name ideas too :)

Number 2 is an adorable grey or silver partridge.
