I need some advice please.

I have 8 silkies that are 6 days old. One of them is smaller than the others- like he hasn't grown since he was born. I rarely see him do anything other than stand around with his eyes closed and sometimes passes out with his head in the food bowl. Today I noticed that the other chicks are starting to peck at him and stand on top of him. Is there anything I do to help the little guy?
If it were me, I would get some extra vitamins in him asap. Some poly-vi-sol and maybe some raw liver pieces. See if a little added nutrients will help pick him up a bit. If the others are possibly hurting him since he's so lethargic, you might want to separate him for a bit. Make sure you provide some grit with the liver.

My dominant rooster just attacked my daughter! I didn't think silkies did that, wow. she's SO upset about it. It really scared her. her leg is all scratched up and everything :(
One of our silkie roos got a little testy with us as well. We got a tip from aoxa (another BYC member) to tug the feathers on his back every time he acted up and I haven't had a problem since. Another option is picking him up and carrying him around while you finish chores, etc. I used a glove for a while because he could reach his head back around like an owl and latch on with that sharp little beak! LOL.

I had to ask someone where it was.
The mystery of poly-vi-sol.

Looks like Poof is a splash and Peach a porcelain, I think. Cute babies.

Poof actually reminds me of my little splash, One Eyed Bandit, I had last year. He somehow managed to get himself in with the turkeys when he was a couple weeks old and got pecked. Lost vision in his right eye, the poor thing. But he was the sweetest little chick.

I'm wondering if Poof is a boy...? Very hard to tell, they're still young. Hopefully I'm wrong!

I personally would not. A hen who is not broody is not very accepting of chicks, often pecking them, sometimes even to death. Even silkies do this. Dominant hens seem to be the worst about it, as they feel they have to put the chicks in their place. You could try with supervision, but take the chicks out IMMEDIATELY if she shows aggression. It is rare to have hens accept chicks when not broody.
I guess I had the exception to that rule... One hen I had never went broody, but if I put her next to some guinea keets, turkeys, duck and even chickens she would raise them. The first few hours of introducing them were supervised, but we never had an issue when it came to her raising them. She would always cluck that motherly cluck and every baby came running. Sadly I lost her to a hawk earlier this year, she wasn't the prettest bird I owned, but she was my favorite!

This was Ms. Rumpy.

Just wanted to post a couple of pictures of some of my silkies. I have one that has gone broody, and one that wants nothing to do with the babies I gave her. But the rooster is a wonderful daddy.
My broody girl Paris. Yes she is facing the corner.

This is Splash, Cinnamon, & right in front of Splash is Georgio.
This is Snow and a couple of hatchery babies. She wants nothing to do with them.
This is Tesla our white silkie rooster. Along with two of our own silkie babies that we hatched. Snow wanted nothing to do with the babies but Tesla takes very good care of them. He watches them, makes sure they eat, protects them from Snow, and sleeps with them. He is the sweetest!!
