Silkie thread!

I seen that post I've looked at it a thousand times already pacing by the incubator lol. I figured it was too early I'm probably just being paranoid :p I didn't worry this much when I was having kids geez these lil fluff balls are going to be the death of me :th Thank the gods for you guys ya'll keep me somewhat sane lol.

Lol, I just put some eggs in the incubator yesterday and I feel exactly the same. I was monitoring the temps when my husband camehme and asked what I was doing. My 4yr old says "shes been there all day". Lol. I can't help it.

The woman I was going to get the silkies from is going to hold on to them till next weekend and I'm totally booked then. I feel like I'm going to miss out on some amazing birds! >.< -runs in circles- I really wanted to raise some with my baby cochins.

My hens were broody, that's why they happily took the chicks. I wouldn't dare give chicks to a hen that wasn't broody. I haven't heard any good stories doing it that way. One of my not-broody hens did seem very interested in the chicks though. Almost as if she wanted a few for herself. But she just got done taking care of 3 chicks, they went to new homes a few weeks ago. That might be why she was so interested..

Nice picture.
Well, both of mine are now broody!! And I have some chicks about to hatch out in my friend's incubator! i'm hoping that one of them will want to take care of the chicks for me, then I won't need them in the house! :)

So it turns out those chicks are high risk for Coccidiosis and are now being medicated and such. Thank goodness I did not get any! My cochins >.< That would have been awful. So anyhow. I wanted to ask where I need to go to get some amazing quality chicks. I need about 4. Preferably 3-5 weeks old so they go well with my other chicks. I checked on CL but the quality looked awful. I am in Washington state.
Any tips?
Thank you! I can't wait to start a little flock of fluffies!

That is rather far from me but thank you! I will contact her and see if she has any buffs :)

Does it sound weird? I thought so too. But hey. Can't force someone to part with their chicks. It's okay. It will all work out one way or the other.
