Lot's of cuties there!!
Love my camera, I can remove all effects right on the image. So hopefully these are better. If not I can take them outside. They've never been outside, I bet they will love it. Making a small box coop inside the grow out run right now for them, so hopefully after this last rain storm we are getting tomorrow they can go outside during the day.

#1 Blue

#2 Looks like a buff cross. Possibly porcelain

#3 Same as #2

#4 Very dark partridge

I'm a totally guessing on 2 & 3!
agreed these are absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you!!
I think I've MAYBE posted 5 times on this thread since it started. LOL I have bought so many Silkie eggs to hatch with only one ever hatching out and most completely clear. Thank you PO!! I do have a few though. I had more before my husband died and when I told him I was going to sell of all but one roo, he also told me not to get rid of my black one. He used to watch him and think he was so funny. I don't have any of those birds any longer and for a long long time I not only wasn't getting any eggs (Like 10 a year combined!) and the few I hatched out I placed. Not one was broody till this year and I have one that hasn't used her legs much in weeks. I move her and by morning, there she is again. I'm going to be setting some eggs under her if she's till wants to set in about a week, But I do a a baby pic of one I hatched last month. This is at maybe 2 hrs old. I think I'm going to find a place so I can have even more space for more of these. Like I couldn't just stick them in a purse! LOL

Finally I add a pic to this thread.

My little chickies, 2 weeks old now.

This little self-blue was a tough one to photograph. It was always hiding. Easter Egger chick, Spot on the other hand, was quite photogenic.

See...there's that self-blue again. Hiding! lol

These are just outstanding chicks!!

I could be a little prejudice.

No

I've cried for that hen, I miss her so much.I'm convinced a hawk took her, I don't think she went broody somewhere. I wanted to show her this fall. I didn't even get any chicks off of her

. I have two young ones growing up from her sister, however, that are showing signs of looking just like her and are as fond of handling as she was. I have lots and lots of pictures to remember her by, though

So heartbreaking...

Some guy backed out on silkies from Jamie, so he is selling me four more (3 hens and a cock). All whites. :D Two of them are dyed, but I'm fine with that. I am not looking to show them this year anyway. I just want to build up my breeding flock. Only have a trio of whites, and a pair of blues so it is slow going!

Here are some of the chicks. They are 2 weeks now. Growing strong!
Love all the colors!!

I think we both are a little prejudice with these chicks.

I just had them on the living floor running around. It took them awhile to figure out that they could run and jump around. So funny! And they're actually starting to come to me now, instead of running away!
wee.gif
They are going to be the most spoiled chicks ever. lol

Hey silkie friends. When we bought my son's rooster he came with these little white dots on his comb. Should I be concerned?

Thanks so much. I've checked for mites several times and not found any. I'll try the Vaseline and vet rx. How often should I put it on?
do it daily and see if there is any improvement. It could be just dry skin, or frost bite from the winter. Put the vetrx on first then the vaseline. otherwise the vaseline would keep the vetrx from actually getting on the comb
