I posted a pic of my new Silkie chicks last week they are a silvery white color. This week they are getting wing feathers and I they both have a darker color maybe black coming in on a section of wing but not on both wings. What does this mean in the code of Silkie colors?

Hehe yeah they do. Unforuntely Clarice is not a Clarice

gonna have to see what i'm going to do with him. I may keep him if Snowman doesn't start breeding. He's real nice.

They are as cute as can be. I have 5 silkie eggs in the incubator on day 8. I sure hope I get some diffrent colors.

Oh, and not silkie related, but we rescued a kitten 2 weeks ago off the side of the road being ambushed by crows. Only 6 weeks old, weren't gonna keep him, but fell in love. Meet Trouble! Looks just like Noodle our other kitty.

I would have done the same thing. Big ahhhhhhhh

Soooo how do I tell if any of my eggs are 'quiters'? I candled last night, day 8, and saw just a few that looked like there was a red wavey line going around the inside of the egg. And the ones that are still clear by day 10 I should toss out, right?

I have a question I have a flea problem in the broody pen house and I have martins viper insect dust I got from the feed store would it be safe to use around the babies to dust bathe in my poor little silkie baby has fleas around her eyes and comb it's not a massive amount though please help!?
