Our 1 and only silkie hoping we have at least one in this mix of barnyard eggs due to hatch on the 24th

I hatched this little guy 2 weeks ago, but he was the only silkie in with sussex. The other chicks were fast outgrowing it, so I put it out with a broody. Well he sat in the corner, stunned by the sight of ginger, but she scooped him up and hasn't stopped clucking over him since.

My chick with the cocci is starting to look a little better today. Almost 48 hours sicne starting treatment. she's starting to peck around on the ground a bit instead of just sitting there hunched up. She's still a tad hunched over though, but looking more alert!

Great news! :)

Wow, that's great, my chickens have had coccidiosis so many times, especially Seagull, my light sussex, who's had it about 5 times, and she's only about 4 yrs!

Always good to hear!! And you're giving me hope!! I have a sick little one I just started on amprol yesterday, she's been eating, but I've been giving her a syringe with the water because I'm not seeing her drink. Today though seems to be a worse day so far, I have my fingers crossed she'll start improving!!

Oh that's so sad :( I hope she gets better!!

So, I went out to lock them up and she was still just coming in from the run. and she ran on in and had energy and started scarfing food, yeah!
