Silkie thread!

They are my own girls eggs. I have 4 white hens, a blue hen, and my roo is blue.

Pretty birds! Wish I had lush green grass for my birds. Very dry here in California right now. I see, with your blue x blue you have the chance of splash. I was torn about whether I wanted a blue or a splash chick out of my one Blue/Splash egg. I like the splashes also, so I will have to add some of those later

You had her tested and it came back negative? :celebrate

Do you know what IS wrong?  I think she was getting better, so your treatment is working - but is there anything else recommended?

She got something in her eye and it got infected! That's why her eye was so swollen and puss filled! We got like a MASSIVE puss plug out of her eye and I'm trying to get what's left of it out.

I just went out and checked my silkies progress with her 14 eggs. I didn't do too much myself, but since she was eating I lifted her up for a second. I heard peeping but no external pips yet. I didn't know you could hear them while they were still inside the eggs.My biggest concern now is that since she isn't very big, I know she has been keeping some of the eggs under her wings and not directly under her. Is this normal? They don't feel as warm as the ones under her. So are the chicks going to be able to stay warm under her? Are they going to be able to stay under her while the other ones hatch? That is a lot of eggs for 1 silkie.
