Silkie thread!

i got three silkie chicks that are about 9 weeks old the other day and i want them to grow up very cuddly! should i handle them lots or will that just scare them away? i have previous experience (not with chickens) where when i was 6 we got a dog and i cuddled it so much it was scared of me! it took 10 years for him to be comfortable with me again! can that happen with chickens?

hearts is through their stomach. Treats will do it, everytime .
I sit on the ground and sprinkle feed . When touching , try bringing your hand up between their legs and stroke until they grow used to you. I find that they prefer to be picked up this way. Mine climb all over me.

I imagine that as a 6 year old, you were probably not quite gentle enough in your "cuddling." Even if you THOUGHT that you were,

oh my goodness that is one cute chick. I have silkie eggs due to arrive next week. Seeing all this pics just makes met that more excited about hatching them.
