Hi all! Butting in here to say hi! I've been stalking the thread for a while and just recently about tripled my silkie flock. Had the opportunity to buy a local ladies flock and couldn't pass it up! I do have someone in the flock I just received that is occasionally throwing straight combs in the chicks I've hatched from her. I need to double check but thought I read straight combs are recessive. If so, then it's more than one contributing lol. Overall I'm pretty happy with them and can't wait to see how the younger ones turn out as they grow and the adults when they finish molting.
