Silkie thread!

We put 3 broody girls back with our big flock yesterday. It was -12 at night around the time the chicks hatched so we brought the mamas in. This is the two silkies that are co-parenting 4 chicks. (2 legbars, 2 blue ameracauna)
that rooster in the background is GORGEOUS!

I love how all the chicks are in a line!

Thanks. We got him for free when we sold a couple silkies. My daughter really liked his color when he was a few weeks old. He was actually going to eventually go to freezer camp but has earned his keep as a GREAT protector of our flock. He has no fear jumping on hawks who swoop down for our girls. He even saved our smooth sizzle roo from a hawk this Saturday. He's fantastic. The silkies are such good mamas, and with Red the Roo, these babies are set.

Hey guys..
my silkie roo chick whose 11 weeks old I was wanting to get him a chicken diaper but idk how much more growing he has . He is already close to mu hens size. He's a hair smaller. He prefers indoors over out. I introduced him to my hen who pecked him and I usually let him outside and my rooster got out and attacked him and chasing him about.

anyways... Where should I buy a chicken diaper from? I made my own bit it won't last at all

what size should I buy?

I'd like one I can adjust as well.
any help would be great
I found them on Amazon.com- from the literature I've read, Silkies take size small or x-small. Those diapers are supposedly adjustable. I ordered some smalls for the Silkie roo I'm getting day after Christmas. He'll be a house chicken once those diapers get here, LOL. I bought two diapers so that they can be washed.

Got some buff females today!!! A hen and a pullet!!!! Here's a picture of the pullet looking at the dog. Lol. I'll have to get pictures of the hen in the morning. My paint rooster is SOOO excited to have some girls. Lol!

Okay guys, my black 11 week old is getting silver leakage in the hackles and feet. Beautiful chick, just has leakage. Can I use him/her for breeding at all?

You're the one who posted it on Facebook too! Haha. If there's qualities you love about it then why not? Leakage usually goes with males, but you have females to get it, too. Hope that helps.
