So cute! What a good Moma!Snow's eggs are due to hatch Sunday. I took a look at one of them that has a little poo on it. She was anxious to put it back. It's always cute when they do that.
What is her parentage? If purchased, what did breeder say?
So pretty! Love those spots!??? A lady I go to church with gave her to my daughter. She was in with 4 other Splash, but they were darker.![]()

The flash washes her out some she is almost a lavender color. Very Sweet. Also if I breed a blue to a black what do I get? All Black? The reason I ask is I have a Black Frizzle Silkie I have Blue Roos. I also have access to a White Smoothe Sizzle.

Here ya go, I knew I had it somewhere....Blue X Blue = 50% Blue, 25% Black, 25% Splash
Blue X Black = 50% Blue, 50% Black
Blue X Splash = 50% Blue, 50% Splash
Black X Black = 100% Black
Splash X Splash = 100% Splash
Splash X Black = 100% Blue
Quote: In that case, she is a splash. Blue X black = 50/50 blue/black. White is unpredictable. (and blue X splash = 50/50 blue/splash)
very few hatcheries breed for quality instead of quantity. ABA/APA standards are used for all sanctioned shows. Some 4H shows are sanctioned and others are not. Sometimes judges are more lenient on kids, but not always. In most cases a decent for showing quality bird can be found for a reasonable price. Would you purchase substandard sports equipment for your kid? So why not purchase a show quality bird? You might need to be somewhat open on breed choice as some breeds tend to be more expensive than others, but ...The hatchery breeds purebred birds so wouldnt that pass for show quality?
