Feeling pretty good about my babies new brooder set up :) I got them a lower watt bulb yesterday and today I picked them up a bigger brooder box. Now even more room, new light, and fresh bedding and the babies are looking pretty happy in their new home. I'll post a pic soon :)
 



My porcelain silkie pullet I hatched from Catdance silkie eggs. Thinking about maybe showing her at an upcoming show. She was born January 2nd 2014. I know it is hard to tell from a picture(especially since she refused to stand up), but does she look good enough for me to attempt to show her? I don't know much about silkies show wise!





I thought I would throw in some butt shots, I mean who can resist a fluffy silkie butt?

If you mean , aggressive towards you. When my Jaffa gets a bit ' toey ' I pursue him and pick him up for cuddles. Carry him around all the while doing my chicken duties. When I'm finished I place him back with his girls. He avoids me like the plague now. It's not very masculine to be carried around in front of your ladies. You do need to be wary of offending the roo when you are around his girls. If you are lurking around trying to catch a hen , chances are the roo will try to defend them. After all that is his job !

okk he gets that way especialy when im putting them up for the nite and when i pick up one of his hens ill try that tomorrow
