Silkie thread!

Sorry to be a pest but can someone tell me if my rescue girls look like they could be pure?  I know they are pet quality but I feel like their pitiful little crests are a sign that they are mixes.  It doesn't matter to me other than I would like to be accurate in describing them.  I have been looking through tons of pics and the only crests I see like these seem to be on babies.  Also what color would you say the grey girl is?  Thanks!  I was told that she is about 2 and I believe the sizzle is about a year younger.

The black one looks like a sizzle and the blue , I can't see in the pic, does it have hard feathers or is it just the lighting? Remember that they are rescue birds, so they may well have been lousy. There are mites that cause feather breakage and this might be the case with yours. A hard molt will leave them a bit sad looking too. Delice , deworm and get them on to a good feed, they'll come good.

Is My paint silkie pullet show quality?

I do the practice showing they will be 4 months and like 6 months at fair. will the foot feathers beokay if i dont wash them right now? when should i start washing them? (Age wise)

Sorry, just reread my post , I meant baby oil not Vaseline. When you have time just do a practice wash of the feet , it's a good time to inspect them anyway.
As I said I wash them a week out and then it's just a quick tidy up the night before.

Thanks! I am feeding them a fermented 22% protein game bird started mixed with a 20% all purpose pellet. I am ready to roll on the external parasites this weekend and am worming them tomorrow. I started keeping chickens 2 years ago but am a total newb to silkies and have never even held one before I held these two. so I am sorry for my ignorance but what do you mean by "hard feathers" They do feel sort of course. Is that a forever thing or should it correct with parasite control and good food?

Also, if I were to put a silkie roo with these girls and hatch their eggs I really don't want to mislead anyone so can you tell me if they look like they are pure stock or not. Thanks so much for your time!

That is so hard to determine. Are all the normal things correct, 5 toes each foot feathered properly, tight wings, full thick feathering, etc.? How does she compare to others you have seen? Best way to find out is take her to a small show and see how she does. She looks very pretty in your pictures.
