Silkie thread!

Oh Good Grief... I just counted all the chicks I have and the eggs set to hatch and the total is 47... Anyone in North Georgia want to buy a few Silkie/Sizzle/Frizzle chicks? The coop has 2 Blue Silkie Roos, 2 Splash Hens, 1 White Sizzle Hen, 1 Black Frizzle Silkie Hen.

In these pictures they are in a mixed Bantam coop. They have been separated for 6 weeks in their own coop. I'm in Blue Ridge GA which is on the GA, TN, NC line.

I do! It will be next week, if you can hold me some. I'm going to a show Saturday, and also filling the feed bin ($$) tomorrow. How much are they? You can pm me. Thanks!

Dang. I just read that you are too far away for me

I would gladly drive there, but we are having to lower our expenses (long trips) I only go to about 2 shows a season. You wouldn't happen to be going to Nashville Saturday, would you?

ok.

I know these pics are terrible quality. See the one continual row on the top picture...pullet. See the break in feathering and two lengths of feathers?.. cockerel. This is only visible like this when they are a couple to several days old. After that, its a guessing game. Try it. Or, post a picture and I'll tell you. ;)

Very helpful! Thanks! My two look like the top picture, lets pray they're both pullets!

I just got my first Silkies from TSC. There were 7 that were marked down to $1 because they had been there for a week or so. I bought them all because they had pasty butt and I couldn't help but save them. Anything I should know about Silkies?

Here's one of my baby silkies is it a male or female? ( it's the only one with comb right now the others dont have theirs growing yet) I will try get pick of all 3 together tomorrow!!
Here's my pic:
