Silkie thread!

Mine are probably 90 cm off the ground and I have supplied a ladder for them at one end. I like to brace a good thick tree branch in the corner for them to train on. Even a little pile of firewood logs gets them off the ground. In one of my pens I have a fence post that they all line up on.

Is it normal for a Silkie to be slower then all the other chicks?
I have a 6 week old Silkie and she's always being left behind by the other standard sized chicks.
She'll be with them and then they'll all run off in one direction and she'll be left there standing and peeping for them to come back. She also can't aim very well when she pecks at something.

Wow!!!!!!! I love your silkies Roopty.

Please forgive for asking you if you ever sell them because I am based here in the UK and I have looked everywhere but I have never seen this beautiful version of silkies here in the UK,

Thanks.
Sal

when do you out your silkies out in the summer time? I have 4 silkies hatched 6/11/14 and I was just wondering when I should put them outside? I'm in north east ohio and we have highs in the 80's and lows of 60's

I usually prefer bearded, but this bird is beautiful!
