Ho everyone

Im sure the answers are in this thread somewhere but due to the massive size i have been unable to find them lol
at what age are silkies considered full feathered?
My other girls (doms) were easy to tell not my silkies.
they are now 4 weeks old and they are still so tiny they still fit in the palm of my hand.
funny little things they love to cuddle on mu lap bit not so fond of being touched. They make a lot of rucus when I pat them. When I stop they snuggle back down. Too cute

Is it normal for a Silkie to be slower then all the other chicks?
I have a 6 week old Silkie and she's always being left behind by the other standard sized chicks.
She'll be with them and then they'll all run off in one direction and she'll be left there standing and peeping for them to come back. She also can't aim very well when she pecks at something.

Can anyone answer me?

I have silkies and they are slow going. They lift their legs up high to walk because of the feathers on their feet. I have a hen i cut the feathers back from her eyes...because i thought she couldn't see...but it's best to leave it alone..i found that out the hard way..cause i kept cutting and cutting and it got more puffy, and made it harder for her to see... won't ever do that again hope this helps.....
PS....just looked at the picture of your silkie..no feathers blocking her eyes.... don't have experience with why she misses food while pecking.... ???

This is one of my silkies, Willow. He/she a charcoal color, and I think it is about 6 weeks old. Can anyone tell me if it is a boy or a girl and what color it is considered. It’s really a beautiful bird and has an almost silver tip to it’s wings.

Your picture really makes it hard to see whats going on there. But, I think I'm seeing a pretty good sized comb, which would make me think boy at 6 weeks. Can you take a picture that shows its actual color and the whole bird from the side?

Just sounds like a chick on the lower pecking order. And the lack of pecking accuracy could possibly be neurologic problems. I had several silkie babies a few weeks ago, all were fine but then one suddenly started acting like it coulnt focus on things, and kinda bobbled its head around really add and it just seemed like it couldnt focus on anything, even the way it looked at me was odd. My best guess is that it hit its head or someone pecked its head or something. It still ate/drank ok so I didnt worry too much about it.Your lil partridge is a cutie. I love partridge. I am watching one of my fav girls now and I love watching how the different partridge colors develope as they grow. I still cant tell which type mine is going to be end up beng, but thats part of the fun
