Silkie thread!

This is my black silkie rooster he is suppose to be black but has some colored feathers on his neck and greenish feathers on his tail. I just hatched some of his chicks and two of them are very light colored. The silkie hen i have

is black. Im wondering what color these chick will be.

The lighter coloured ones with the chipmunk stripes are partridge . The one at the back could be blue/ black or black with red leakage.

My little Seven is now an awkward teenager. Only she and 1 other have penciled primaries, the others are not, does that mean I have 2 girls and 3 boys?

She's the same light one in the middle of the bottom photo. I have asked and no one seems to know. She is similar to a porcelain color, but she is not porcelain.

I think that her base colour is blue and she has some red leakage. I have only one chick that colour from mating my red partridge to my blue hen.

I am so jealous over all of your guys silkies. I have 10 white ones. That seems to be the only color I can get around me. Maybe next yr I'll order some from a hatchery.

You can always buy some eggs and hatch them out. That's how I got my awesomely fluffy chicks.

Ok, might sound like a silly question, but remember, I've never owned a rooster before. My boy has been crowing now for three days, but, he's only 4 and a half months old, maybe a bit older. So the question? Yep. When, can he be a man!
