Silkie thread!

She is in with her sister is that ok. Where do I get the stuff to treat it. Is it contagious. She is hatching chicks soon :(

It is contagious but I wouldn't worry too much , it's just a fungus and if she is brooding that will make it easier to treat her. You should keep an eye on the chicks once they hatch and catch it early if any of them show symptoms.

I would wear disposable gloves when treating her and it can also occur on the body, so you may need to examin the others for any feather loss. It's important that you don't cause cross infection when handling. Always tend to her last and wear gloves .

I would personally get the athletes foot prep with miconazole . Several people on other threads used alternative things only to switch to the miconazole later. The chicks will be fine so long as you start treatment ASAP.

Hi all one of my silkies looks like it is getting real feathering on its wings. Is this normal?

Not a great picture sorry
