Silkie thread!

Sheldon my blue boy has been babysitting the littles and their momma in the coop. They have an in coop brooder now. He stays by them quite a bit. Casper my white almost 6 month old boy is getting big! He changes every week. The little seven week olds have some silly colors. For being born partridge, all but the white and blue, they are feathering out really crazy! My little blue has a crooked comb from a struggle hatching, but I think its endearing. :) Here some rainy day pics.
Cute babies!!! All of your silkies are gorgeous!

How long do I need to give my baby girls electrolytes? I have 2 Americaunas, 1 Barred Rock, 1 white silkie. I am looking for 2 Buff Orphingtons...My little girls are 4 or 5 months old they should start laying eggs in the next month.

Hello and :welcome
Some people like to give electrolytes as a ' pick me up ' after illness and others do it routinely say once a fortnight or even monthly. For what ever reason you are giving them it's up to you when to stop them.

Sorry if I sounded like a smarty. If your giving fir a illness I would wait until that's cleared up. As a supplement I would get them into their permanent housing and stress free then ween them off of it. The moves can be stressful so let them get use to their surrounding then ween them.

Not at all . Completely legitimate question. Most people never give their birds supplements and it always helps to know why someone is. :)

Okay all you smarties, I'm bumping my chicks poop issue because I know one of you has to know what this is. Its a rubbery texture but it looks like undigested crumbles. No health issues so far, I just need to know if I should worm them. Could it be tape worm segments? It's very gross I apologize, and I wouldn't post it if it wasn't important. Thanks friends. :)

I can honestly say , I have never seen poop like that. If you are concerned about tape worm though I would get onto it. Valbazen will cover tape. Are you sure that's not vomit?
