Silkie thread!

Hi Silkie lovers!!! I wanted to add my chick to the mix. Lol. She's about 4 weeks here.

Question--- My silkie is about 2 months. I want to move her out of the house into the run. But I'm worried about temperatures. I'm in Utah, it's really hot during the day and gets pretty chilly at night. With her being so fluffy, I just worry how she will handle the elements. What does everyone else thinks?

Very sweet! As with all chickens , plenty of shade and fresh water. Silkies don't fair well if they get drenched to the bone , so lots of cover.

Fancy , it's definitely poop. Subhanalah, they are 7 weeks. Ive never seen it either. I did have everyone on corid 2 weeks ago after finding one bloody stool in the adults coop, but I dont know how that could have anything to do with it. I thought tape worm only because they are like little rubbery sections. I was just guessing. :)

Cover won't be an issue at all. I'm just scared she I'll get too cold at night. I worry a lot about her.

Could you take it to a vet and have them run a fecal on it. It just looks like poop to me. Nothing screams problem. I'm going to assume they are not free ranging or it would be green. LOL.

Lol no they arent free ranging yet. :) They did get a little grass time on friday with their momma, but they have a crumbles diet primarily. I think ill wait on the fecal since my vet doesnt do them ,and see if it changes, but it did kinda freak me out seeing these poos today. They havent eaten anything but crumbles.

I'm wondering about my little fluffy, favorite splash
There is definitely a comb but it's not super wide and there's no sign of waddles yet... I've been telling myself boy because I'd rather end up with a happy surprise than disappointment. Don't tell anyone...but secretly...I would love it if he's a she!
(S)he's just about 11 weeks.
What do ya'll think?
