he keeps going into like seizures where he just flails his head

Brain damage. I had one do this too. No cure and nothing make it better

I'm sorry!  I have 5 youngsters right now and I think they're either all cockerels too, or possibly 1 is a girl, but can't tell yet for sure.  I have friends that have either all boys or all girls too, just luck of the draw unless you get 100 chicks.  Last year I got 12 straight run d'uccles and 10 were boys.  Anyway, sorry for your bad news!

10 roos out of 12!, Good grief, I guess I can't complain.
I just wish I could offload a couple.
Maybe I should check with local Chinese restaurant. Lol

One year ago, I went to an auction with my cousin. He ended up buying some chicks and chickens, including 7 day old silkie chicks. He ended up giving them to me and they are one of the best gifts I have ever gotten. I can't believe my chickens are a year old now!

I had a Silkie rooster while living in town. I raised him from a chick and in all the time I had him, he never once crowed. But he was definitely all male (minus the crowing) as the eggs from his hens were always fertile. A co-worker of hubby's has Silkies and she said almost a third of the Silkie roosters she's raised never crowed.
My roo doesn't crow every day and when he does, it is very quiet. If you weren't in our yard you wouldn't even hear him. Got really lucky with this one, I hope his offspring have the same characteristic. This video is him crowing, and keep in mind he is on me and the phone I took the video with is on my chest so it was very close to him as he crowed. Still a lot quieter than any rooster I've been around.

I was hoping to hatch more silkies but ended up only getting this one lone Silkie (the rest Seramas!) Isn't she just adorable??

At this point the humidity was at 63...should i raise it? the vent holes are big enough that i can safely add a sponge without opening the bator. I know humidity isnt a set number, but when yall see this whats the humidity you look for?

Even if he does like that picture then acts fine just a little cocked to the side?

Maybe he has a head injury that caused seizures. If he seems okay most of the time and can eat/drink, probably just keep him and I doubt there's anything that you could do to help him. Maybe there is a seizure medication but unless you have a vet that knows about chickens and what dose to try...sorry I can't think of what else might help!

You're lucky, all ours crow a lot and especially in the early hours. I've got a decibel meter app on the phone and the other morning I got a reading of 90db just outside the run. For reference that's the equivalent of a train whistle at 500 feet.
