Any help would be appreciated. ..have a silkie hatching. ..looks like 3/4 egg chipped away but still not out yet...48 hrs...still chirping. ..last time I tried to hatch assist they both died...

It takes time, but it can be done. It is a lot of moistening the membrane and waiting for the veins to retract, then chipping away and waiting...etc. As long as the chick is breathing, and you can be patient by not taking to much shell at a time, I think you will be okay. Mine was under a broody, so I think being able to recoup after the hatch under her helped it thrive. Good luck. The article Fancy gave you is what helped me.

I think Lady Marmalade if she's a girl. tang or Mango if it's a boy. Cheeto or Dorito is cute too lol

My crazy little mixes. Pure silkie, mixed colors. I can't wait to see them grown. I know some people don't like to have mixed colors, but I think they are the cutest. Some are a month old, some 2 months. 2 month old partridge This ones crest is ridiculous. She has a huge vault under there. 8 week old white Silver partridge? 8 weeks 8 week old Muppets lol 8 week old blue Mystery color So cute, but will have a pink comb partridge black

I have 2 that look like your cute babies (1st pic & mystery color!) they are only 4 weeks & I'm like you I can't wait to see what they will end up looking like. They are all adorable!

My 1st ever pure Silkie eggs go into the hatcher today!!!! They r all shipped from 2 different people, 14 total Silkie. And I'm 1700 miles from home! I'm sooooo nervous!

I have decided to re-home 3 of my chicks that are pet quality. I'm asking $30 for the three, but will add another chick in at no charge to give each age a buddy. Two are going to be 5 weeks this coming saturday and one is 8 weeks. The two 5 week olds will need a heat source and cuddles since they are still with momma. I don't typically sell chicks, but I'm running out of space and these are just garden flowers. They have flaws which I won't use for breeding. I'm in northern Indiana and I don't ship, so for some of you, I know pick up isn't possible, but if someone is interested close by, let me know.
