I have eggs in the incubator hatching! I set them myself. I don't know who's eggs they are. One piped external and the other egg piped internally! So excited!

Wow, nice to know, I will just wait next time. I guess I had just given up hope because all the others were already dead.I wait much longer then 22 days before I mess with them, I had one hatch at 30 days. It was fine.

Un diluted, straight . Don't add water. No the nutri- drench won't hurt the chick.
Add it to their water as well. The drops directly into the beak will just get it into the bloodstream quicker.![]()
Ok thank you!!! I'll give Jed two drops in the beak. Then I will put some I'm the water. So they will all get some?
Don't take away their other water sources in the heat of the day. The little ones should catch on quickly as everyone else uses it, but chickens can very quickly die without water. It may take them longer to learn, but better that than death in my book. My suggestion would be to take out the bowl in the evening and watch them. Once you see every chicken use it, never put the bowl back in. But, leave the bowl in during the heat of the day until you've seen them.Got my chickens new waterer tonight! I have been wanting to try one of these for a while. I think the guy did a great job making it for me. What do you think? I had him make it so that I could put it into the corner of the run. I showed the girls how to use it and so far the older ones seem to have caught right on! Woo hoo! But the littler ones, are still avoiding it. I hope that the older ones will help them learn, and explore it more tomorrow. Im only a little nervous because it get soo super hot very quick so I want to be sure the little ones will pick it up right away. Cause I read that you should take away any other water buckets so that they learn to use it faster, and im afraid if I put a bowl back in there it'll set them all back. One of the little ones was trying a little bit so its really only the 3 youngest that I havent seen go to it yet. I have shown all of them individually, but so far only the older ones are interested in it on their own. They seem to have figured it out quick. It was fun sitting there watching them figure it out and get eachother interested, its soo cute lol. I have it right where the bowl used to be and once they get the hang of it, ill set it into the corner. Have any of you tried one of these yet? And what was your experience?
