Here are update pic's of my grow out chicks. Ages nine through seven weeks. I'm crazy about them and want to test breed all of them.

My adult chickens run together separate from the grow out silkies. Some white silkie chicks are in this flock. They all run with the LF HRIR.






They are all beautiful. I especially like the snowballs all over your lawn. LOL

Oh it's really just a case of ' small man ' syndrome .

Really? As far as I know he has never been around any other roosters. Do you think he will have to be protected when his quarantine is over?

Hi Silkie lovers! I occasionally pop in to see all the beautiful Silkies and just wanted to share my little ones i hatched last weekend.

What color will the little one with the stripe down it's back be when grown up?

they are all adorable I love that little red one! I know you do a lot of hatching do you have any trouble finding homes for the ones you don't want to keep? Seems like it's getting harder to find homes.

I wish I lived close to you. You would not have a problem rehoming your Silkies. LOL

I really cant tell I have to look for " ribbons" in the tail feathers, others can tell by hear shots... might be too soon to tell yet. She/he is cute.

Omg question.

I have a sizzle hen who I've had for 2 weeks. She's laid 14 eggs. Ive noticed she laid on them at night. So I figure I'll just toss them since my roo is t fertile.

Opened up 2 and it was 2 heart beak forming. I was in shock.

Now the odd thing us that she had chicks where I bought her. They were with her. Around 1 mo. Old. So she hasn't laid egg but was with roosters before that. She had them for a week or two with the mom. She then gave me mom hen and started to lay eggs.

Is it possible these eggs are fertile by my 8 Chabot or is it the other roosters? How would I tell. Ichabod looks different then the roos she has. Which she has calico partridge roos. Mine is splash. But he has some tan hackel feathers
