What color is my silkie rooster? I will repost the photo. I thought he was black, but he's not as black as the hen is. Here are two pictures of him. Thanks!

Non silkie related. I did post in the emergencies/injury area but thought I'd post here too since it's pretty active.

I think our BR cockerel was injured fighting with our turkeys (dang freaking turkeys). He is limping I was going to catch him to really look him over but he kept trying to run away and was hopping. I stopped trying to catch him.

He came close enough to me (cracked corn lol) that I really looked him over well and there is no wound that I can see and no blood or missing feathers on that side of his body.

I'm not sure if I should catch him when he is running away because I'm worried about causing further injury. Any thoughts, opinions, ideas, etc?

Wait til he roosts tonight to catch him and give him a good look over. It will called a lot less stress. Chasing the bird stresses them and could cause injury to you or the bird
