Silkie thread!

Crud... I was out in the coop cuddling the silkies and realized that one of my babies is a boy. I'm already well beyond my quote of roos and wasn't planning on breeding silkies. I've talked my breeder into taking him back but I'm sad we wont have him. :[

If anyone in the SF Bay Area wants a BEAUTIFUL bearded and crested Silkie Roo who is getting iridescent green streamers, PM me tonight. By tomorrow at 9am I will be headed down to return the rooster.

We lost our lavender baby after 7 days. Poor girl, she just wasn't meant to live with her deformities. On a brighter note I have 4 silkie eggs that go into lockdown tomorrow night! So hopefully I'll have a few more beautiful silkies soon :)

To those who were talking about taping their silkies, I've been told that freezer tape works well. ThT what we are planning on using for our polish. It's not as sticky.

Thank you. I gave her the best chance I could. But with a cross beak and a undeveloped right eye, I am sure she had some more deformities I just didn't know about. Organs could have been not developed rights also. But she didn't die alone, We held her close. But now it is time to move on and welcome the next batch of babies into our lives :)
